Main Server Roles Explained

Notify - This role allows server staff to alert members when there are important server announcements. Type
!notify
to get this role. -
Unit roles (warrior, rider, ship, mindbender, etc) - These are automatically assigned based on the member’s activity level through the Mee6 bot. The more you chat, the more XP you earn, and the higher unit rank you acquire. You can see the ranks by typing
!levels
in a bot channel. -
Tribe role (Imperius, Bardur, Kickoo, etc) - A server member can choose which tribe they want to join (although some members decide to stay tribeless). You can only be in one tribe at a time. You can change your mind and change tribes, but not during certain tribe-related contests or elections. You can join a tribe with the ! command, for example type
!Bardur
or!Kickoo

Elo-related achievement roles (Elo player, Elo veteran, etc) These are given to users who play ranked games. The more games you win, the higher your Elo, the higher your Elo rank. A complete list can be found in #multiplayer-elo-guide.

Tournament roles (Skirmisher, 1st wave duelist) These roles are given to users who participate in specific multiplayer contests, such as the Summer Skirmish Tournament or the Tribe Duels.

Music bot roles (DJ, Karaoke manager) These allow users to skip songs in the music channel or server mute other users in voice chat channels.

Tribe Leader - Currently, each tribe has one tribe leader (TL), elected by the members of that tribe. TLs are expected to promote their tribe’s activity, assist with the server events, and generally be helpful. In the past, TLs were appointed by the mods/admins and many tribes had more than on TL.

Champion - These roles are awarded to winners of server contests and challenges. The role only lasts until a new contest winner is declared, usually once a tribe moon contest is over. Often there are both art contest champions and in-game challenge champions.

Nitro booster - Members who have paid for nitro and boosted the server. These boosts allow the server to have more emojis, higher bitrate in the VC channels, and other perks.

Director/Head Director - These members volunteer to help run specific competitive events, like the Summer Skirmish Tournament. They know the rules of the tournament and assist competitors throughout the event.

Elo-helper - An experienced multiplayer user and server staff member who is knowledgeable with the ranked game system. Their job is to assist server members with the Elo-bot and multiplayer matchmaking system. These staff have permission to edit, delete, or otherwise change records associated with the Elo-bot, both ranked and unranked matches.

Moderator - Also called mod, these are server staff with the ability to mute members, delete messages, and otherwise regulate server conduct. Mods are expected to be active and monitor the various channels to make sure rules are being followed. Mods also help with server events, such as TL elections and contests. The can create server channels and assign/remove most other roles.

Admin - These staff have the highest level server permissions. They maintain the server and enforce server rules.

M-team - Polytopia Development team who code the game, run the webshop, and create the art and music. They deserve every cent we can give them. Also, never, ever, ever, ping them.

Manager - Midjiwan and Zoythrus. The big bosses, the top dogs, the head honchos.
